That’s the motto of The Three Musketeers, France’s fictional heroes. But it just as readily applies to another “m” word — the 5,000 members of the BrandSource buying group.

Though spread across the country from the South Pacific (American Samoa!) to the Great Plains states and the rocky shores of Maine, BrandSource’s independent appliance, home furnishings and CE dealers are united in purpose and mutual support.

Indeed, while dealers are drawn to BrandSource for its topflight marketing, merchandising and financing programs, the group’s greatest asset is the members themselves. Unlike other retail organizations where you’re little more than a name on a ledger, BrandSource members are a family, with a common bond and a steadfast commitment to each other … something we call the “M” Factor.

Together, our fraternity of like-minded merchants is a force to be reckoned with and is always there if needed. Everybody loves a product bundle.

Consumers like it because they can get all their matching pieces at once, and usually at a discount to buying them separately.

Appliance and furniture dealers like it because then can sell an entire kitchen suite or bedroom ensemble in one shot.

Problem is, bundles have traditionally been pieced together by vendors, limiting shoppers’ options. Moreover, in today’s inventory-constrained environment, missing items are creating headaches for dealers and their customers.

Now, thanks to the latest innovation from the BrandSource buying and marketing group, independent dealers can custom-configure their own appliance and furniture bundles. Called Package Builder, the new technology allows dealers to easily assemble a multi-SKU product suite by pulling the components directly through their POS systems. Simply select the SKUs, product images, pricing, and percentage or dollar discount, and voila!

Dealers can tap into their available inventory to assure complete deliveries, and can choose the brands and models they wish to move and their customers want to buy.

Part of BrandSource’s proprietary LINQ online merchandising platform, Package Builder is now available to all members employing the group’s industry-leading ALTA transactional websites at Commerce level and above.
