That’s the motto of The Three Musketeers, France’s fictional heroes. But it just as readily applies to another “m” word — the 5,000 members of the BrandSource buying group.
The “Apply & Buy” program, developed by the buying group and Citibank, allows customers on any AVB-designed e-commerce site to apply for the private-label BrandSource Credit Card at checkout. Approval takes just seconds, after which the purchase can be applied to the new account and customers can take advantage of any special financing offers for a true buy-on-the-fly experience.
For the customer, this means enhanced purchasing power, as extended terms allow payments to be spread out over time. Other consumer advantages include around-the-clock account access; no annual fees; and a dedicated line of credit that’s accepted at some 4,500 BrandSource member stores nationwide.
Conversely, BrandSource members reap the benefits of bigger tickets, higher close rates and payment parity with national chains and e-tailers.
“Apply & Buy is just one more leap forward in closing the gap between big-box stores and independents online,” said Chad Evans, AVB’s Vice President of Merchandising. “We are continuing to level the playing field with this functionality, which is a game-changer for independent appliance, home furnishings and consumer tech retailers.”
